Yoron Israel Trio “New Dreams”
A dynamic ensemble featuring enticing vocals along with drums, piano/keyboard, bass and saxophone. Yoron Israel and “New Dreams” presents original compositions, personalized arrangements of works by influential composers as well as spontaneous improvisations that makes each performance thrillingly unique and inspiringly creative. With the classic quartet instrumentation of tenor saxophone/soprano, piano, bass and drums. This Boston based ensemble is committed to forging ahead new standards in jazz performance, composition and arrangements for the 21st Century. Yoron Israel & Key Players makes a strong reference to Yoron’s earliest memories of hearing music in the baptist church that he grew up in. The sound of piano, hammond B3 and drums along with the voices was the defining sound in the black church of my youth. It is that sound, attitude and spirit that shapes what we do as band; combining of the secular and the sacred in the most creative and meaningful manner.
